Company description
The company was founded in 2019 by Stefan Farnschläder, Philip Käfer and Dominic Warok and is headquartered in Würzburg. At the beginning of 2021, Mr. Warok left the company and in spring 2021 Kersten Neubert strengthened the founding team as a new shareholder. The company describes itself as a software and internet company. The smartphone app 'Cineamo' for Android and iOS devices, the associated application on the web and the corresponding software-as-a-service solution for cinema operations have been developed to date. Stefan Farnschläder married into a cinema family in the mid-nineties and has built up profound knowledge around the cinema business. Cineamo receives expert support from Würzburg's municipal start-up scene. The Innovations- und Gründerzentrum Würzburg (IGZ) and the Zentrum für Digitale Innovationen Mainfranken (ZDI) support the startup with words and deeds. In December 2020, Cineamo qualified for funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as part of the Innovation Program for Start-up Projects and Pioneer Solutions (IGP) as a digital and data-driven business model and received a funding decision in May 2021 for a funding amount of approximately 135,000 euros.
