Corso has been part of Stuttgart’s movie culture since 1957, when it opened as a stylish basement theater next to the historic Schiller-Theater. Our auditoriums still have their mid-century charm, but behind the scenes everything is state of the art, with modern digital sound and projection for the best possible movie experience.
Stuttgart’s dubbing-free zone
Since 1984, we’ve shown films in their original English version, without subtitles. That makes Corso Stuttgart’s only true “dubbing-free zone.” Every now and then, we also host special screenings in other languages, always with English subtitles.
A little Hollywood in Vaihingen
Over the years, stars like P!nk and Alice Cooper have visited Corso, some renting the theater for private screenings and others simply joining a regular show with their families.
